The good and the bad – the decision was finally made for us when the Public Health nurse in Revelstoke insisted that my Mum be taken out of the care facility she was in, and there is nowhere else for her, so she’s in the hospital in Revelstoke. We went up for a "last dinner" of sorts as a family. They hope to get her into a care facility that is scheduled for completion in the fall, if Mum is still around.
We made a day of it and stopped at Crazy Creek Falls on te way up. Very cool. Then we went out to Begbie Falls before heading over for the dinner. Lots of driving, but a good day overall, other than seeing Mum in a catotonic state. She looks so old and she has no spark left. It’s truly sad.
